Plumbing for Kitchen & Bath Remodels in Houston
Whether it's a fixture swap or a full down-to-studs renovation, we plan and execute the plumbing side so your remodel passes inspection, looks clean, and runs leak-free for decades.
A remodel is the right time to do plumbing right. Walls are open. Old supply and drain lines are exposed. Fixture locations can still be adjusted. Every plumbing decision made during a remodel will last for the life of the home — so it pays to plan it carefully.
What we do during a remodel
Pre-construction planning. We review your design plans and flag plumbing decisions that affect layout, cost, or timeline. Moving a drain line by two feet might be trivial; relocating a stack to the other side of a wall might require structural changes.
Rough-in. With walls open, we run new supply (PEX or copper), drain, and vent lines. We set shower valves, tub spouts, and any in-wall fixtures. We coordinate the rough-in inspection so the city signs off before drywall.
Fixture and trim install. After tile, paint, and cabinets are done, we install final fixtures: toilets, sinks, faucets, showerheads, water heaters, garbage disposals, dishwashers. Final pressure test confirms no leaks.
Common remodel decisions we help with
- Tankless conversion — remodels are the easiest time to convert to a tankless water heater because gas, electrical, and venting are often already being modified.
- Hot water recirculation — adding a recirc pump during a remodel is much cheaper than retrofitting later.
- Water filtration / softener — pre-plumbing for treatment systems during remodel saves money later.
- Pot fillers and secondary sinks — kitchen-specific fixtures that need careful supply line planning.
- Curbless showers — drain placement, slope, and waterproofing all need plumbing coordination.
What a clean remodel install looks like
- Properly sloped drain lines, properly vented
- Supply lines protected from nail plates and routed for future access
- Shut-off valves at every fixture
- Documented as-built drawings for the homeowner
- All rough-in inspected before drywall
- Final fixtures tested under pressure before walk-through
Common Issues We Solve
Relocating drain lines
Moving sinks, tubs, or toilets requires careful drain planning, venting, and slope. We map it out before any pipe is cut.
Upgrading old supply lines
Remodels are the right time to replace aging galvanized or polybutylene supply lines with PEX or copper.
Adding new fixtures
Pot fillers, secondary sinks, bidets, second showerheads — we plan rough-in and trim install.
Tankless or recirculation upgrades
Remodels are ideal for adding tankless water heaters or hot-water recirculation systems.
Coordinating with contractor and trades
We work with your GC, electrician, and tile crew to keep the timeline on track.
Code upgrades during remodel
Older homes often need code upgrades exposed during demo. We bring it all current.

Plumbing Remodels — Common Questions
When should I bring in a plumber for a remodel?
As early as possible — ideally during design. Plumbing layout affects framing, drywall, tile, and cabinet decisions. Getting us involved in design saves rework later.
Can you handle the whole plumbing side of a bathroom remodel?
Yes — supply lines, drain and vent, shower valves, tub install, toilet install, vanity hookup, and final fixture set. We coordinate inspection.
Do you work directly with homeowners or only with contractors?
Both. We work directly with homeowners on owner-managed projects, and we work as a sub for general contractors on managed builds.
